PSEO Experiment Status
The following analysis has been conducted to get a feel for how visible I am on the search engines simply by using my name “John Lilley”. There is a large amount of competition for my name with some high profile individuals ranging from Musicians to Politicians!

After the basic set up of a personal web page and the creation of a few pages there has been little impact on my Search Engine visibility. In fact visibility on Google and MSN has decreased whilst Yahoo visibility has improved.
It is likely with high profile names that if you are not contributing content then you are likely to fall behind. Over the next quarter I will be adding a weekly post may be more to see the impact on the results.
